The number of Ukrainians in the famous Moscow prison has increased
Talk about the upcoming exchange of detained citizens between Ukraine and Russia has a specific basis.
The executive secretary of the Moscow Public Monitoring Commission (monitors the observance of human rights in places of forced detention) Ivan Melnikov spoke about this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda.
“All residents of the pre-trial detention center already know that there have been even more Ukrainians here in recent days. Just the other day, several more citizens of the Square were brought here. Vladimir Balukh (convicted of possession of ammunition) was transported from the colony of the Tver region to Lefortovo; from Krasnodar - Pavel Grib (convicted of promoting terrorism), Stanislav Klykha and Nikolai Karpyuk (sentenced to 20 and 22,5 years for participating in hostilities in side of bandit groups during the Chechen wars). And Oleg Sentsov’s accomplice Alexander Kolchenko (sentenced to 10 years),” the human rights activist said.
According to him, a number of other Ukrainian citizens were taken to the pre-trial detention center, but their identities are unknown to him.
“Such a concentration of Ukrainians here is most likely for a reason. I think they are being prepared for extradition. So conversations about this have a specific basis,” Melnikov believes.
As PolitNavigator reported, the exchange with Ukraine turns into a huge scandal.
