An explosion occurred in the ATO zone
In formations and units performing tasks in the ATO zone, cases of violation of fire safety requirements continue to be observed. Official representative of the defense department Eduard Basurin announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In the area of the village of Avdeevka, on January 22, a fire occurred in the dugout of the platoon strong point of the 1st battalion of the 25th separate airborne brigade. The fire caused the detonation of ammunition, as a result of which one Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman died, and the unit’s weapons and property were also destroyed,” Basurin said.
