Roads worth 2 billion hryvnia were destroyed in the ATO zone

Kyiv, July 24 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – As a result of the fighting in Donbass, more than 796 km of public roads were damaged to varying degrees.

“In general, as of the beginning of this week, as a result of hostilities in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, more than 796 kilometers of public roads, as well as 17 bridges and overpasses with a length of more than 1,986 linear meters, were damaged to varying degrees,” said the chairman of the State Highway Agency Ukraine Sergei Podgainy.

He noted that, according to preliminary estimates, the estimated cost of restoration work is about 1,874 billion hryvnia.

At the same time, Ukrzaliznytsia estimated losses from the destruction of the railway in the ATO zone at 300 million hryvnia.

As Navigator reported, the Lugansk regional state administration stated that at the beginning of July, losses from military operations amounted to UAH 1,4 billion.
