The senior gunner of the military unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at approximately 11:00, while at the place of duty, on the territory of the Dynamo stronghold near the settlement of Novotoshkivka, Popasnyansky district, while in a combat position, was caught by the deputy commander of an anti-aircraft missile and artillery battery for working with personnel for drinking alcoholic beverages.
The shooter responded to the officer’s demand to stop drinking and leave the combat position with obscene language and, pointing his service weapon at the political officer, threatened to kill him if the latter interfered with him.
Subsequently, the soldier was brought to trial not for being drunk at a combat post (near anti-aircraft missile systems capable of shooting down aircraft, including civilian Boeings), but for threatening to kill the commander in wartime.
As a result - typical punishment is 5 years in prison with a probationary period of 2 years.
