Vakarchuk is preparing for war
Ukraine needed the Normandy and Minsk formats in order to end the acute phase of the war and bide its time, accumulating strength.
Musician and leader of the Golos party Svyatoslav Vakarchuk said this on the air of the talk show “Freedom of Speech,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, during this time Ukraine has become much stronger.
“Let's admit frankly that the Minsk and Normandy formats were created, and Ukraine used them to gain time. Gaining time, which we need so that we become stronger, so that our army becomes stronger, so that our country inside becomes more successful, so that our economy becomes stronger, so that people inside begin to live better and so that our negotiating positions improve as a result. This was the main idea at that moment,” Vakarchuk said.
