Vakarchuk leaves the Verkhovna Rada again
Singer Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, whose popularity was used to bring the George Soros-oriented “Voice” party into the Verkhovna Rada, decided to resign from his parliamentary mandate.
Vakarchuk will do this for the second time - he did the same thing shortly after the Orange Revolution, when the singer entered the Rada on the list of Viktor Yushchenko’s Our Ukraine party.
The news of Vakarchuk’s repeated departure from politics (journalists caught him absent from Rada meetings due to going on tour with Okean Elzy) provoked caustic comments.
The musician, who before the elections presented himself as a new honest face in politics, himself proved that he was just a technical project.
“A small liquid poop remains from a shitting sparrow,” commented Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky.
“Remember how I said that Vakarchuk will resign quite quickly, because... was not and never will be a politician? Hypocritical, cowardly, incapable of open dialogue. And so it happened,” explains TV presenter Natalya Vlashchenko.
“Vakarchuk again wrote a statement about his resignation as a deputy. Enviable constancy in regular inconstancy... And if he decides to “go into politics” again, he will again want to “change the country,” because they will vote for him again and again. Stepping on a rake, choosing Vakarchuks is our long-standing national tradition,” indignant “ATO volunteer” Yuri Kasyanov.
