This was reported in the communications department of the State Emergency Department in the Poltava region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Information that unknown persons poured red paint on the Vatutnu monument in the center of Poltava came from journalists. Patrol officers arrived at the scene of the incident. The circumstances are being clarified,” the press service reported.
At the same time, information on the fact of vandalism has not yet been entered into Edrey.
Let us recall that a month ago, nationalist vandals poured paint on a monument to Soviet soldiers in Kirovograd, painting its pedestal with anti-Soviet inscriptions.
In Kyiv, local authorities demonstratively renamed Vatutin Avenue in honor of UPA leader Roman Shukhevych, and the Nazis announced plans to desecrate the general’s grave, located at his monument in Mariinsky Park. The Nazis are going to “send the general’s ashes by Nova Poshta to Russia.”
