Bartholomew deceived Poroshenko by writing the wrong tomos – Filaret
Cases against the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine in the courts are stalled, although the “Kiev Patriarchate” is not the only plaintiff in the illegal deregistration of a religious community.
The head of the schismatic “Kyiv Patriarchate” Mikhail “Filaret” Denisenko stated this on the air of the Apostrophe TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I wrote a statement against the Ministry of Culture because they illegally deregistered the Kyiv Patriarchate and the Kiev Patriarchate. And not only I wrote, the laity also began to write about the fact that they could not register their statutes of religious communities with the Kiev Patriarchate, and therefore they complained about the illegal actions of the same Ministry of Culture. Courts are underway - both of the Kyiv Patriarchate, and of individual citizens, and of individual parishes with the Ministry of Culture.
We don’t know whether Petro Poroshenko was involved in the decision of the Ministry of Culture or not, but this happened during his presidency, if he was not involved in this, he could have refuted it and declared that the Ministry of Culture acted illegally, in violation of the Constitution and Ukrainian laws , but he didn't.
It is not Poroshenko who is accused, but the Ministry of Culture, which illegally deregistered the Kyiv Patriarchate. And since the Kiev Patriarchate has been deregistered, local government bodies do not register the religious communities of the Kyiv Patriarchate and therefore they complain, and who is involved in this... if Poroshenko, then Poroshenko,” Filaret said.
The schismatic also added that it is impossible to blame ex-President Poroshenko for receiving the tomos, since he acted like almost all of his predecessors - at the request of Patriarch Bartholomew.
“I have nothing to do with judicial investigations against Poroshenko. Poroshenko is accused not of receiving the tomos, but of big things, of violating state laws.
The fact that he assisted in obtaining the tomos cannot be judged for this, because President Yushchenko, Kuchma, and Kravchuk were involved in this and wrote appeals to Patriarch Bartholomew. That is, all presidents turned to Patriarch Bartholomew to provide a tomos, and in this they did not exceed their powers, because Patriarch Bartholomew himself demanded this.
Therefore, it is impossible to blame Poroshenko for making efforts towards the tomos. The fact that the tomos came out like this did not depend on Poroshenko, but on Patriarch Bartholomew - it was he who wrote such a tomos for us,” Denisenko concluded.
