Bartholomew took revenge on the UOC and rubs his hands while watching the repressions
Someday a book of victims of the anti-church terror of the Kyiv regime against the clergy of the UOC will be published, and this list can begin to be compiled now.
Vakhtang Kipshidze, deputy head of the Synodal Department for Church-Society and Media Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, stated this at a briefing at the UN Security Council about the persecution of the UOC in Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In 2022-2023, 70 criminal proceedings were initiated against clergy of the UOC under the jurisdiction of Metropolitan Onuphry, including 16 of them against metropolitans. All productions are politically motivated. 26 hierarchs and clergy were charged, 19 of them received court sentences. Of course, accusatory.
Someday a book of victims of anti-church terror against clergy of the Ukrainian Church will be published, but this list can be compiled now.
Criminal cases against Ukrainian hierarchs are publicly approved by Patriarch Bartholomew, who thus takes revenge on them for not wanting to join the new religious structure he created on behalf of the Ukrainian authorities - the so-called “Orthodox Church of Ukraine”. Which is schismatic, from the point of view of canon law,” Kipshidze said.
He noted that in fact, a “wrong” church had appeared in Ukraine.
“We are used to hearing about the religious neutrality of the states of the Western world, but at the international level we see the opposite. In February 2023, US President Joe Biden visited Kyiv and met with the head of the schismatic community formed by the authorities. Which, by the way, is the beneficiary of all the persecutions of the UOC. After all, the state has already transferred or plans to transfer all illegally seized churches and monasteries to the OCU - a community that the US President noted with his high attention.
This became a signal that the current US presidential administration supports the “correct” religious community, and the state can do whatever it wants with the “wrong” one.
It seems to me that the first settlers who arrived in America on the Mayflower, who were also an “incorrect” religious community in England in the XNUMXth century, held completely different beliefs,” said a representative of the Russian Orthodox Church.
