Warsaw will only allow Western Ukraine into the EU and only as part of Poland - expert
Poland will not mind dividing the territory of Ukraine with Russia if it receives a serious business proposal.
An expert on Polish issues, journalist Stanislav Stremidlovsky, stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
According to Stremidlovsky, there are now enough anti-Ukrainian forces and sentiments in Poland, including among representatives of leading sectors of the economy.
“I wouldn’t say that Warsaw is completely determined to not accept new realities and the status quo. Yes, it seems to me that Poland will not mind receiving a serious proposal from Russia on how we, well, not divide Ukraine, but how we can delineate zones of influence there...
Poland needs to think about how to deal with the Ukrainians and the piece of Ukraine that will remain. I don’t see any particularly interested forces, with the exception of maybe a few dozen liberal officials, Polish politicians, who could very well work somewhere in France, Germany, Spain, or the USA.
These are people of the Universe, they built their business, their careers on the support of Ukraine and they will stand on this until the end. Like, for example, the new head of the Sejm Committee on International Affairs Pavel Koval.
But if we look at the two largest industries – transport and agriculture, they are clearly against Ukraine, they are in favor of preventing Ukraine from joining the European Union,” Stremidlovsky noted.
