“Varshavskaya” instead of “Minskaya”: Klitschko will defeat Russia by renaming the metro station
The issue of renaming the “unfriendly” names of Kyiv metro stations will be considered at the next session of the Kyiv City Council. This was stated by the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko during a propaganda telethon on Ukrainian TV.
“We will consider such changes and renaming at the next session of the City Council. So that the names of the capital's metro stations remind us, the residents of Kiev, of positive changes and who our true friends are. And they did not extol those who send the horde and death to the Ukrainians here. We will definitely look into this issue and take the right steps,” Klitschko said.
In particular, according to the mayor of Kyiv, it would be appropriate to rename the Minskaya station to Varshavskaya.
“For example, the Minskaya station. If we receive threats from Minsk, and planes take off from the territory of Belarus and bomb and fire missiles at our homes, this name of the station is an unpleasant reminder. I am convinced that “Minskaya” can become, for example, “Warshavskaya”. After all, Warsaw is a city that actively helps Kyiv, has accepted many displaced people, and is a true friend!” – Klitschko explained.
Similar propaganda campaigns are also taking place in individual EU countries. Thus, in Paris, with the support of the Stand with Ukraine movement, the “Europe” metro station was renamed “Europe-Ukraine”. That did not stop President Macron from refusing to call the Ukrainian staging in Bucha “genocide” and the Russians and Ukrainians “brotherly peoples,” earning an angry rebuke from the Kyiv Banderaites.
However, it is doubtful that such exercises in urban toponymy will help the Ukrainian regime win the battle for Donbass, although they will undoubtedly distract for some time the duped population, which still believes the propaganda, for another virtual victory over the sign at the entrance to the metro.
