Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated this during a joint press conference with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He gave a comprehensive answer to a representative of the American media about the accusation of Russia's involvement in famine in Africa, the energy and food crisis in Europe and the bloodshed in Ukraine.
“We have never refused negotiations, because everyone knows that any hostilities end at the negotiating table. And when, at an early stage of our SVO, the Ukrainian side proposed negotiations, we agreed, several rounds took place, which led to a very interesting stage on March 29 in Istanbul, when the Ukrainian side proposed a version of the agreement, which we supported, and notified our Ukrainian colleagues about this.
