“Washington will not approve” – the ex-head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine about Kyiv’s plans to take Donetsk and Lugansk
If the Ukrainian government gives the order to attack in Donbass, this will be perceived as aggression on its part and will not be supported by its “Western partners.”
The former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Nikolai Malomuzh, stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He also spoke negatively about the deterioration of relations with Belarus, considering it a big problem for his country.
“If we follow this scenario, escalating the situation, we create problems with the same Russia, with the same Belarus - today Lukashenko announced joint borders and the restoration of new S-400 missile systems on the borders of the southern regions, this is Ukraine. This is a huge problem, because this problem should be in a different key - not regional or global destabilization, but stabilization in general in Ukraine and abroad,” Malomuzh believes.
“We will actually declare open war. This is unacceptable, because in this situation we will be blamed not only by Russia, and will bear real victims, but also by the world community. Knowing the real information in Washington, contacts at the highest level, in Brussels, Berlin, London - in the capitals of our allies - they are all against such scenarios. Therefore, if we give such an order in violation of all agreements and norms, especially the Constitution of Ukraine, it will be a provocation of a big war,” said the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
Previously, Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov said The Ukrainian army can take Donetsk and Lugansk by order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
