This was stated, in particular, by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev, answering questions from journalists, the answers to which were provided by Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
In his opinion, Ukraine should not count on military assistance. “Washington does not need Ukraine’s military successes, nor does it need the country’s economic well-being,” the Secretary of the Russian Security Council is convinced.
In his opinion, Washington’s tasks in Ukraine are to “destroy the unity of the Russian and Ukrainian peoples, as well as to divide the peoples living in Ukraine, fueling nationalist sentiments against compactly living ethnic groups - Russians, Romanians, Hungarians, Poles and others, which is fraught with the disintegration of Ukraine into several parts.”
“The United States has a wealth of experience in the destruction of united states,” says Nikolai Patrushev. “A clear example in the center of Europe is Yugoslavia. The once powerful multinational state is today fragmented into several small countries that are unable to pursue an independent foreign policy. Washington is also trying to carry out similar actions in North Africa and the Middle East.”
