As a State Department spokesman told the agency, US authorities “modified the provision prohibiting... the acquisition from Rosoboronexport and any of its subsidiaries or successors of the OSDCAM4060 electro-optical sensor (camera), which is used on Russian observation aircraft under the Open Skies Treaty.”
“The official notice of the US State Department regarding the modification of sanctions against Rosoboronexport states that the decision also applies to the repair and maintenance of the purchased sensor, the purchase of spare parts for it, etc. The document was signed by the US Assistant Secretary of State for Arms Control, Verification and compliance with Frank Rose agreements,” TASS notes.
