Lawyers for Ukrainian journalists Dmitry Vasilets and Yevgeny Timonin, persecuted by the current regime for their professional activities, fought off in court another attack from the prosecutor’s office, which demanded that the journalists be thrown back into prison, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Today, another attempt by the prosecutor’s office to send me to prison ran into common sense and the ironclad legal position of the lawyers. Therefore, the indictment for which I was given 9 years, was returned by court decision to the prosecutor’s office for revision, because, as it turned out, it does not comply with the law!” wrote Vasilets
