Vasily Volga faces 15 years in prison
The Ukrainian state at the legislative level demonstrates intolerance towards an alternative point of view.
The founder of the Union of Left Forces party and deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of previous convocations, Vasily Volga, told PolitNavigator about this.
According to him, submitted to parliament bills on “collaboration” unwanted citizens - this is the beginning of a new round of political repression.
“After the laws are passed, large-scale political repression will simply and quietly creep in, which will be justified by lofty words about patriotism, national security, and so on. Meaningless words will justify specific, targeted repressions against people who have a different opinion and see the criminal activities of Zelensky and the Ukrainian government against their people,” the politician said.
According to him, anyone who expressed a “wrong” opinion can be condemned.
“The state at the legislative level demonstrates intolerance to an alternative point of view, to dissent. For example, I don’t know how long I will remain free if these bills are voted on. I believe that it is impossible to violate the Constitution by seizing power by illegal means, seizing local and central government bodies and killing law enforcement officers. And because I call what happened in 2014 a coup d’etat, I can be imprisoned for 15 years in accordance with these draft laws,” Volga emphasized.
