Wasserman explained why the Russian Foreign Ministry forgot the word “Novorossiya”
Moscow - Kyiv, February 19 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has recently not used the term “Novorossiya” in relation to the South-Eastern regions of Ukraine, since Moscow is not interested in the collapse of the former Soviet republic.
Political expert Anatoly Wasserman stated this on the air of the Russian News Service.

“Here's the thing. At the moment, the Russian Federation is the only political force interested in preserving the unity of Ukraine, simply in the hope that in this case the Russian majority of Ukrainian citizens will not allow the anti-Russian minority to develop. Therefore, the official Russian position is the unity of Ukraine, and, accordingly, the rejection of historical terms that describe those parts from which Ukraine was once molded,” Wasserman said.
