“I dare to assure that the recognition of the DPR and LPR as independent state entities will sharply complicate the position of the Russian majority in the lands still occupied by the terrorist group “Ukraine.”

Just in case, I remind you that the Minsk agreements, both the first and the second, essentially have as their goal to ensure the rights of the entire Russian majority, because the legislative changes that are provided for in these agreements change the political climate within all of Ukraine in such a way that the task of turning Russians in anti-Russian ones it becomes, if not completely impossible, then at least very seriously difficult,” the politician said.

In addition, the deputy noted that if Russia renounces its demands on Ukraine regarding the implementation of the Minsk agreements, this will entail a renunciation of pressure on Kyiv from Germany and France.

“Accordingly, if we abandon the requirement for Ukraine to comply with the Minsk agreements, then this will lead to the end of pressure on Ukraine from other guarantors of the Minsk agreements, namely Germany and France.

Yes, of course, these countries care little about the fate of Russians in general and Russians in Ukraine in particular, but the agreement is drawn up in such a way that these countries are forced to remind Kiev about them from time to time, and thereby slow down the most obvious attempts to turn the Russian majority of Ukrainian citizens into an anti-Russian the majority,” Wasserman concluded.
