Important information about the Russian underground in Ukraine
A wide network of Russian army informants has been deployed in Ukraine.
The founder of the Rybar telegram channel, Mikhail Zvinchuk, stated this in an interview with RTVI, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have an agent network on the territory of Ukraine. It was built during the SVO from among caring people. They are waiting for Russian troops to reach their village and liberate it. They, despite all the controversial moments of the autumn campaign, believe that this will happen someday, in the coming and triumph of the Russian World, and they are ready to help - even at the risk of their lives.
I have informants from the headquarters of enemy control centers who have been providing both analytical documents and data on troop movements for a long time. We transmit them through closed communication channels to higher headquarters and after a while publish them on the channel with the aim of sowing panic in the ranks of the enemy,” Zvinchuk said.
He admitted that after the withdrawal of Russian troops from Kherson, a significant part of his aides were disappointed.
“After the withdrawal of troops from the Right Bank of the Dnieper, my contact from Nikolaev wrote to me and said: “I don’t know what to tell you now.” In the same way, people who spent months transmitting data for fire destruction, which was either carried out or not carried out, do not know. They risked their lives, and now they are simply looking at captured Russian equipment, which is being triumphantly transported through the streets of Nikolaev.
People are confused, panicked, they don’t understand what this is for. They do not understand the weight of political and military decisions that lies on the shoulders of those who make them. But they do not lose faith.
Yes, during this time quite a lot of sources have broken away, because people get disappointed and decide to flee to Poland, and from there get to Russia. But there is a very large percentage of those who still believe,” Zvinchuk said.
Ukrainians help the Russian army mostly disinterestedly, because even cryptocurrency transfers are easily tracked.
“The average age threshold for a representative of an agent network is from 28 to 42 years. That is, he is a relatively young man with his mature convictions. Ukrainian propaganda is trying to imagine that Russia’s sympathizers are mainly pensioners who are waiting for the revival of the USSR. This is far from true.
Young people from 18 to 25 are mostly pro-Ukrainian or, at best, neutral. Pro-Russian views can be found quite rarely among them, because people have been subject to a certain influence for the last 8 years. Those who are now 18 were 10 years old. If from this age they were told that Russia is an aggressor country that occupied Crimea and attacked Ukraine, then they will believe it.
But everything depends on the person’s upbringing. If children were instilled with adequate values by their parents, then they have more restrained views,” Zvinchuk said.
