Yesterday's meeting of the Normandy Four caused panic in the Verkhovna Rada

At the beginning of the meeting, Speaker Andrei Parubiy said that the presidium “received an ultimatum from two factions” from Samopomich and Oleg Lyashko’s Radical Party, which set the condition to announce a break, but agreed to withdraw their demand if their representative was given the floor.
After this, the leader of the Samopomich faction, Oleg Berezyuk, came to the podium, surrounded by his comrades.
“These days, Ukraine is on the verge of recognizing the defense of its sovereignty. Meetings of the Normandy Four, meetings in the presidential administration, discussions in parliament. Today Ukraine is determining how to defend its sovereignty,” the deputy said.
He added that his party collected 30 thousand votes across Ukraine to say: “No special status for Donbass, which would destroy Ukrainian sovereignty in the form proposed in the Minsk agreements. No elections in Donbass. This is a political atomic weapon, a bomb that will explode and destroy Ukrainian sovereignty. It is necessary to recognize Russia’s occupation of Ukrainian territory, the Russian war against Ukraine and adopt a law on occupied territories in order to create conditions for de-occupation.”
Let us recall that the need to adopt a law on the special status of Donbass following the results of the latest negotiations in the “Normandy format” said German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
