The presenter of the 1+1 TV channel, Natalya Mosiychuk, received the “Goebbels Prize” for “distorting reality and manipulating public opinion.”
The award ceremony took place in Kyiv, but Mosiychuk, despite the invitation, ignored it.

She won the Goebbels Prize for a story about Ukraine receiving a new tranche from the IMF, where the word “loan” was never used, and instead money from the fund, issued at interest, was called “aid.” Moreover, the word “loan” in the story was also cut out from quotes from Finance Minister Natalya Yaresko.
The founder of the “Goebbels Prize” several months ago was the popular movement “Media Lustration”. The first nominee was Channel 5 journalist Vitaly Gaidukevich, who called on all those who disagree with the authorities’ policies to pack their bags and leave for Russia.
