Host of “Karaoke on the Maidan”: No reconciliation with Donbass
Only the few pro-Ukrainian citizens remaining there deserve negotiations on reconciliation with Donbass.
Ukrainian TV presenter and showman Igor Kondratyuk, who gained fame from the program “Karaoke on the Maidan,” stated this on Channel 5. He sharply criticized Presidential Commissioner Sergei Sivokha’s idea of a “national platform of reconciliation and unity” between Ukraine and Donbass.
“Reconciliation can happen between people who did not take up arms. Until the weapons are laid down, I don’t understand what kind of reconciliation can be talked about. He (Sivokho – ed.) wants the armed forces on the border with ORDLO to put down their weapons and go fraternize with whom? With Russian instructors? I don't understand this thesis at all. I once wrote the “Kondratyuk formula” in response to Steinmeier’s formula - reconciliation is possible only for those people who want to live in Ukraine.
Those people who want to live in Ukraine, there is no need to reconcile with them, they sit there, endure and write to us from there that we are waiting for the Ukrainian soldiers to return. With whom to reconcile? With Pushilin? Call him to Kyiv, make peace. What questions? Drink vodka with him somewhere in the neutral zone. I just want to look at this: Seryozha Sivokho is drinking with Pushilin,” said Kondratyuk.
