“Nazi war criminal, mass murderer and executioner of Babi Yar in Kiev and Khatyn in Belarus, organizer of the Kiev auxiliary police, deputy commander of the 118th Schutzmannschaft battalion Kost Smovsky left for Germany at the end of the war, and then to the USA.
There he wrote his memoirs “My Service to the Motherland.” 60 years have passed and they decided to publish the memoirs of the Nazi executioner in their homeland. Who do you think published it? Kyiv National Shevchenko University! Department of World Ukrainian Studies,” notes the social activist.
He clarified that in the book, which was sent to dozens of libraries, there is not a word at all about Smokovsky’s crimes.
The killer’s book is presented by the head of the Department of World Ukrainian Studies at Kyiv University, Vladimir Sergiychuk, with the head of the Institute of National Remembrance Anton Drobovich standing behind.
