Rolling blackouts, loss of gold and foreign exchange reserves, collapse of the hryvnia - political scientist on Yatsenyuk’s “achievements”
Kyiv, December 08 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The results of the parliamentary elections indicate that Ukrainian voters were affected by Stockholm syndrome (a term in popular psychology that describes the sympathy of the victim for the aggressor).
The head of the Third Sector analytical center, Evgeniy Zolotarev, said this at a press conference in Kyiv.

In his opinion, it is not entirely correct to call Yatsenyuk’s Cabinet of Ministers a “kamikaze government,” since the Ukrainian government “is not characterized by the samurai principle of “spirit is stronger than flesh.”
“By the way, we have experienced the political phenomenon of the Stockholm syndrome of Ukrainian voters, when a government that does not have a single positive socio-economic indicator to its credit, nevertheless, in the person of Arseniy Yatsenyuk, received support in the elections,” the expert points out. – You don’t have to look far for examples. There are current rolling blackouts - this is precisely the result of the activities of the current government, which back in the spring stated that it would strive for energy independence of Ukraine, however, has led to a situation where we not only buy Russian gas, but there is also the question of purchasing Russian coal and electricity."
Among other “achievements” of the government, the political scientist named a halving of gold and foreign exchange reserves, an increase in public debt and, in fact, a XNUMX% depreciation of the national currency. He also cited the opinion of journalists who described the current Cabinet of Ministers as a “government of the heating season,” and expressed doubt that Yatsenyuk’s government will be able to carry out the reforms that society is waiting for.
