Great Britain will be like Ukraine
The UK will not be able to refuse to purchase Russian gas.
This opinion was expressed today at a press conference in Moscow by Ivan Surma, professor of the Department of Public Administration and National Security of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“England ranks third in Europe in purchasing Russian gas. It is not interested in supplies of expensive LNG from the United States. Moreover, Russia is implementing its LNG plant project in Yamal. Even if they leave the European Union, relations in the energy market will remain. Even if the UK does not purchase gas directly, it will do so indirectly, through other European countries,” says Surma.
Let us remind you that until now only Ukraine has purchased Russian gas “reversely,” that is, with a markup through Slovakia.
Earlier, Alexander Losev, a member of the Presidium of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, said that the scandal with the poisoning of double agent Sergei Skripal was rapidly “Ukrainizing” Britain.
