The great future of Ukraine was valued at 1000 hryvnia

The National Bank of Ukraine announced the introduction of a new banknote with a face value of 1 thousand hryvnia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Deputy Executive Director of the IMF Vladislav Rashkovan announced this on his Facebook page.
The new highest denomination banknote will be put into circulation on October 25, 2019. The front side of the bill depicts academician Vladimir Vernadsky and his quote: “I believe in the great future of Ukraine.”
Before this, the highest denomination was considered to be the 500 hryvnia banknote.
