Its editor-in-chief Alexey Venediktov said this on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Maybe Crimea should be Russian, but not in the way it was done. Ukraine did not agree to the referendum on the transfer of its territory. International treaties were violated,” Venediktov said.
He also agreed with a radio listener who drew a parallel between Crimea and the Sudetenland, a German region in the Czech Republic that was annexed by Nazi Germany in 1938.
“After 1945, all Germans were expelled from the Sudetenland. This is a good topic for discussion. The situation may be similar, I will study it,” Venediktov said.
