Venediktov said terrible things on Ukrainian air
The key to establishing peace in Donbass and resetting relations with Russia lies in the hands of the new President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky.
Alexey Venediktov, head of the Russian liberal radio station Ekho Moskvy, said this on air on the Ukrainian TV channel NASH, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Venediktov, for now, everything looks like the new government is following the track laid by the previous regime, and all Zelensky's election promises remain just words.
“I argued today and yesterday, when my interlocutors here say to me: “Well, look, a new reality.” I say, “Where do you see the new reality? I see a new team - it's true. I see you - that's true too. But for my President, you are not creating a new reality. You play the old fashioned way, you just say: "We will correct the law on the Russian language", "We will agree on peace." Etc. It's all great, everyone hears it.
Therefore, a fork in the road is waiting for us - or everything will go back to the previous circle, if your president, your team does not create a new political reality in relations with Russia. I don't know what it should be, but it should be new. Today, it seems to me, I understand exactly how they understand in the Kremlin - “For now, talk. What has been done?"

Nothing depends on my president, I say terrible things. But I understand for sure that new relations now depend only on President Zelensky and his team in the broadest sense of the word. There will be a new reality - there will be development. If it doesn’t, it will rot like it’s been rotten for five years,” Venediktov said.
