Hungarian political scientist: The scandal with Transcarpathia is being deliberately inflated by Poroshenko’s headquarters
The scandal surrounding the distribution of Hungarian passports to residents of Transcarpathia is being deliberately inflated by the election headquarters of Petro Poroshenko in order to mobilize the nationalist electorate.
Hungarian political consultant Miklós Keveházy said this on the air of the talk show “Time will tell,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to say that the distribution of Hungarian passports has been going on for seven years; before that, nothing interfered with Kyiv. The dog is buried here: Mr. Poroshenko’s rating is lower than ever. He is not going against the Hungarians, but on the contrary, under the nationalists, putting a stool on them so that they feel like people, so that they vote at the right time in the right place for Mr. Poroshenko. Hungary just fell into place,” Keveházy noted.
“Hungary is not a goal, the Transcarpathian region is a means to put even more pressure on eastern Ukraine,” the expert also added.
