Hungary is preparing a new bummer for Ukraine
The Ukraine-EU summit, which is scheduled for July 9, may not take place due to the position of Hungary, which sharply criticizes the new Ukrainian law on education, which infringes on the rights of ethnic Hungarians in Transcarpathia.
Director of the Agency for Social Communications Sergei Belashko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All summits with NATO were blocked by the Hungarian side. Now Hungary has introduced an initiative at the NATO level that NATO should include in its security sphere those territories of Ukraine that are inhabited by minorities that have a state within NATO. With the same success, Hungary can block the summit with the EU, just as it blocks the NATO summit with Ukraine. I see no guarantee that it will happen.
