Hungary and Romania will be able to force Ukraine to repeal the scandalous education law only if they recognize Crimea as Russian. Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this on Vesti FM radio.

“The PACE resolution is like a poultice for a dead person. Hungary and Romania could somehow influence Ukraine in only one way: to recognize the transition of Crimea to Russian jurisdiction,” Ishchenko said.

However, he said, Hungary and Romania cannot do this because they are not sovereign in formulating their foreign policies.

“They are bound by the EU's common foreign policy. Therefore, they can only talk and cannot do anything. And the Ukrainian leadership is completely dependent on its Nazis, who can not only remove it, but kill it. They are now the only force that determines who will lead the country. If Poroshenko had a choice, he would not have signed this law,” Ishchenko said.
