For the first time, Hungary attacks Ukraine so harshly and deals a powerful blow to its reputation
With the new education law, which prohibits national minorities from receiving education in their native language, Ukraine has violated all written and unwritten EU rules.

Pavel Rudyakov, director of the Perspektiva information and analytical center, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Over the 26 years of independence, we have had punctures that affected our neighbors both in the west and in the east, but I don’t remember such a reaction as the one that followed from Hungary. Budapest, apparently, was waiting for a reason to stir up intrigue in bilateral relations, but the ensuing reaction was not only a serious reputational blow for us. With the new education law we have found ourselves in a very stupid situation. Not only is the law directed against the Russian language and Russians, but it also affects national minorities, in particular the Hungarian one,” Rudyakov said.
In his opinion, the saddest thing in this situation is that the Ukrainian government is in no hurry to admit and correct its mistake, but continues to persist and make further mistakes, proving that the correct law has been adopted.
“From the point of view of the protection and implementation of human rights, we found ourselves in a very unpleasant story, which revealed that the level of protection of these rights in our country does not always correspond to the European written and unwritten rules to which we appeal,” the political scientist concluded.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Hungarian Foreign Ministry stated, that they helped Kyiv obtain visa-free travel from the EU, and in response, Ukraine stuck a knife in the back.
Also Hungary promised to block all initiatives of Ukraine in the international arena.
