The Hungarians of Transcarpathia sent Bandera's supporters - they are waiting for the decision of the Constitutional Court
The Hungarian community of Ukraine is waiting for the decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the law on education, which infringes on the rights of national minorities, and does not want to take part in consultations on the new version of this law.
The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Liliya Grinevich announced this at the XI Forum on Security Issues in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are very concerned that the Hungarian community has stopped any consultations with us. Its leaders have informed us by official letter that they do not want to take part in the consultation process - because they are now waiting for the decision of the Constitutional Court. 48 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, mainly from the Opposition Bloc, Yanukovych’s former party, appealed to the Constitutional Court.
We assured the Hungarian community that we are open to consultations, because it is extremely important for us to unblock this situation and it is important to unblock the opportunity for children from the Hungarian community, but Ukrainian citizens, to properly study and learn the state language,” the official said.
