Verka Serduchka condemned the cancellation of planes and trains to Russia
Ukrainian artist Andrei Danilko, known as Verka Serduchka, condemned the cancellation by official Kiev of air links with Russia, as well as the plans of Ukrainian officials to ban railway links with the Russian Federation.
Danilko spoke about this in an interview with the channel “Should I Talk?”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If there is any problem, everything should be according to the law. For this there are diplomats who must find common ground, they don’t think about people! When all these planes were cancelled, you understand that people will still fly, through Minsk or something else. Now they are thinking about how to cancel the train. Okay, you cancel the train, everyone will fly. Is this what you do for people? What if people go there to work, to visit relatives, or to visit friends? Well, why are you complicating this situation? I’m on the side of the people,” Danilko said.
Presenter Irina Shikhman asked the artist his opinion about the situation in Donbass.
“I want this to end. I want this to be resolved somehow. Why this is not being resolved, I don’t know. Why don’t the parties come to an agreement and find compromises? It means that this is beneficial for someone; if this happens, it means that someone is financing it. I just want the situation to be resolved so that people stop suffering. I want to, but I can’t tell and explain how,” Danilko said.
“How do I feel about Putin? You yourself understand that I will now say “bad”. Why? Because he must resolve this issue. He can resolve this issue so that such a situation does not arise. He must solve it. If he is a strong person and has capabilities... I don’t know, what should I say?” - said the artist.
As PolitNavigator reported, Andrei Danilko previously Ukrainian propaganda, saying that during tours in Russia, Ukrainian artists encounter only good treatment.
