The height of cynicism: Zelensky’s wife “on behalf of those who lost arms and legs” asks the US for even more weapons
The wife of the head of the Kyiv regime, Elena Zelenskaya, addressed the Congress of the United States of America and called for the provision of weapons and air defense to Ukraine.
Zelenskaya stated this during her address to the American Congress.
“I appeal to you on behalf of all those who died, on behalf of those who lost their arms and legs. On behalf of people still alive and whole. On behalf of those fighting and waiting for their relatives from the front line. I'm now asking for something I never wanted to ask for. I ask you for a weapon. Weapons are not for bringing war to foreign soil. And to protect your home and the right to wake up alive in it. I ask you for air defense so that missiles do not kill children in their strollers, so that they do not destroy children's rooms and entire families.
I know that you, ladies and gentlemen, will be leaving for the traditional Congressional recess in just a week. And you will all be able to return to your offices in the fall. And almost each of you already has a schedule for September. This is fine. It is precisely this kind of normality that we are now deprived of in Ukraine. Will my son be able to return to school in the fall? I don’t know, like millions of mothers in Ukraine. Will my daughter be able to go to university and experience real student life? – I find it difficult to answer. What should Ukrainian teachers prepare for: to work in bomb shelters or classrooms? We would respond if we had air defense. Actually the answer is here in Washington... Help us stop the terror against Ukrainians. And this will be our common victory. This is what my husband and I ask. Not as presidential spouses, but as children and parents of their children,” Elena Zelenskaya cynically declares, knowing full well that her children abroad are in no danger during missile strikes and shelling.
Zelensky himself, during his next video message, praised his wife for her acting talent combined with practicality. According to him, this will help force new weapons out of the United States.
“The speech was as practical and sincere as possible - in fact, on behalf of all our families. Elena spoke about the victims of Russian terror and the real opportunity for our American friends to help us stop this terror. This could be our common victory – the Ukrainian and American peoples. I hope that answers to our requests will not be long in coming. Russian terror must lose,” Zelensky said.
