The meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on Friday began with a discussion of the fight that occurred the day before between parliamentarians Andrei Teteruk and Alexandra Kuzhel, during which the deputy battalion commander hit a female colleague on the head with a glass bottle.
Today other female deputies rushed to defend Kuzhel, who, surrounding the podium, began to read out demands on Teteruk.

“There’s this bump on my forehead. Her blood pressure was 220... No one ran into the bottle, no one jumped on her throat, but there was a blow from this bottle... To say that a woman provoked to be hit on the head is the same as justifying a rapist who says that the girl was in a short skirt,” MP Olga Chervakova described Kuzhel’s misadventures.
“A year and a half ago there was a revolution of dignity. People stood against violence,” she said indignantly, adding. that Teteruk should “voluntarily resign as deputy” for “gross violations of parliamentary ethics.”
Next, Teteruk took the floor, clarifying that investigative actions by the Prosecutor General’s Office have already begun, and he is ready to cooperate with law enforcement officers. After Teteruk called on his colleagues to avoid mutual insults, shouts from Kuzhel’s associates were heard at him, and Speaker Vladimir Groysman had to call on the audience to calm.
Earlier, on the sidelines, Teteruk told reporters that Kuzhel was the first to attack him, and now the entire Batkivshchyna faction has staged an information war.
“There was a verbal altercation, which ended with Mrs. Kuzhel again starting to behave aggressively against me, starting to hit me with her bag. And, defending myself, I stepped back, and a collision occurred. Unfortunately, after this, the course of events began to be used for a dirty campaign against me,” Teteruk said.
“This person who hit her is twice his age. “It’s the same as hitting your mother,” Kuzhel chief Yulia Tymoshenko, in turn, reproaches the deputy battalion commander.
