127 people’s deputies from the PR faction, 88 from the Batkivshchyna faction, 40 from UDAR, 38 from Svoboda, 32 from the Communist Party of Ukraine and 49 non-factional members voted “for”.
This law was adopted immediately in the first and second readings without discussion and without a committee decision.
Political scientist Evgeniy Minchenko believes that the Rada has actually declared an “indulgence for violence.”
“The main recipe for impunity in the future is to go to the end and put pressure on the authorities. Then you will be amnestied again,” the expert noted.
The Rada also declared mourning for those killed on February 22 and 23.
