The document was presented by deputy from the Servant of the People faction Alexander Merezhko. According to him, the statement addressed to the “world community” draws attention to the fact of holding “illegitimate elections in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.”

It talks about Russia’s “violation” of international humanitarian law – in particular, the involvement of Ukrainian citizens with issued Russian passports in voting, as well as the movement of people to polling stations in the Rostov region.

The document says that the Verkhovna Rada recognizes such elections as illegal and unlawful, and the State Duma of the Russian Federation - “illegitimate” and appeals to the international community to evaluate the “rigged elections and facts of illegal voting.”

Golos deputy Solomiya Bobrovskaya added that the results of the past elections allegedly also raise serious doubts.

“From the territory of ORDLO took part in the voting about 250 thousand. Two hundred thousand voted electronically, and fifty were brought to Rostov.

It’s surprising to me how they voted electronically, because it’s not always clear how the Internet works there, and in general which people have access to the network and express their will. Therefore, how truthfully the results for the day were calculated is questionable,” she argues.

In turn, parliamentarian Oleg Voloshin noted that Ukraine itself is to blame for the current state of affairs.

“When was the last time the Minsk process, or in general the peace process regarding Donbass, was discussed in this room? There are only constant statements that “nothing is moving, the Minsk agreements are not being implemented.” But no one just wants to do this.

Why in our country, on controlled territory, were half a million citizens deprived of the right to vote? What signal did we send to uncontrolled territories? The fact that the residents of Donbass are of no interest to anyone, but only jingoistic statements from this rostrum about how we are fighting Russia are interesting,” Voloshin emphasized.

Commenting on what happened, Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan noted that, despite Russophobic statements, the Ukrainian establishment will continue to make money from trading with the “aggressor.”

“What a pain! And what, will this somehow affect the intensity of begging for pumping stinking gas through the Ukrainian pipe, or the 9-yard trade turnover with an aggressive aggressor? Or “this is different”? Eh, fuckers? – she wrote on social networks.
