Kyiv, April 01 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The Verkhovna Rada instructed the SBU and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to immediately disarm “illegal armed groups.” The corresponding resolution was adopted by deputies on Tuesday with 235 votes.

The reason was yesterday's incident on Khreshchatyk in Kyiv, where a representative of the Right Sector opened fire on members of the Maidan self-defense.
During the discussion in the Rada hall, deputy Viktor Pinzennik expressed surprise why the security forces did not disarm the militants earlier - after all, this is required by law. “Why should law enforcement agencies wait for the decision of the Verkhovna Rada every time?” - he said.
“The situation is purely a political problem,” responded speaker Alexander Turchynov.
