The Verkhovna Rada will adopt a package of laws on prisoners of war

Hundreds of political prisoners with Ukrainian citizenship are being held in the Russian Federation.
This statement was made by Vice Speaker Irina Gerashchenko during the conciliation council of faction leaders and chairmen of Verkhovna Rada committees, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“More than a hundred political prisoners are being held there illegally. You know that I also wrote these letters, we received answers from Sentsov and others. In this context, I want to ask parliament to put to a vote a package of seven bills that relate to the status of prisoners of war,” Gerashchenko said.
