Kyiv, July 31 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - Ukrainian deputies at a closed meeting of the Verkhovna Rada adopted laws necessary to continue financing the needs of the army during the so-called Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbass.
Deputy Leonid Yemets reported this on his Facebook page. “The laws have been passed. The army will receive the money,” he wrote.
His colleague Alexander Briginets clarified that the Armed Forces will receive $1 billion; the law was supported by more than 300 deputies, including members of the Party of Regions.

In the face of a shortage of money, the government proposed funding the army by sending state employees on unpaid leave. The original version of the bill envisaged such measures even in relation to doctors and teachers.
Subsequently, according to deputy Briginets, the norm on unpaid leave was retained only for employees of regulatory authorities.
