Kyiv, July 25 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The Verkhovna Rada will give the National Council on TV and Radio Broadcasting the right to turn off the broadcast of TV channels without a court decision.

This was stated by MP Nikolai Tomenko, head of the parliamentary committee on freedom of speech.

“I think in a week we will consider a bill on a simplified procedure that gives the National Council the opportunity to quickly temporarily turn off channels that sow aggression and interethnic hatred,” the deputy said.

Tomenko noted that, in his opinion, “Russian TV channels are lying.”
