The Verkhovna Rada decided to release the “correct” political prisoners - they forgot about Markov
Kyiv, February 24 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution “On the release of political prisoners”, according to which 23 people previously sentenced to various terms were released.
In particular, the Rada freed the so-called “Vasilkovsky terrorists” - activists from the radical nationalist organization “Patriot of Ukraine” from the city of Vasylkiv near Kiev, who were arrested and convicted on charges of preparing a terrorist attack on Ukraine’s Independence Day.

Today, the Rada decided to release members of the Pavlichenko family - father and son, who received sentences in the case of the murder of a judge. The Themis judge was attacked shortly after the decision to demolish the Pavlichenko family, because a new building was going to be built on the site of their house.
The list of those released did not include ex-Rada deputy Igor Markov, whom Viktor Yanukovych’s regime put behind bars on charges of participating in the beating of opponents of the appearance of the monument to Catherine II in Odessa, although Yulia Tymoshenko had previously publicly stood up for the Odessa prisoner.
