The Verkhovna Rada deprived Kolesnichenko of his mandate after two attempts

“There is nothing to discuss here. Kolesnichenko has been working for another country for a long time. The parliament’s decision must be unanimous,” said the moderator of the meeting, Alexander Turchinov.
“This list is just beginning. There are a lot of candidates here,” deputy Vladimir Yavorivsky supported him.
However, there was no unanimous vote in the Rada - moreover, the first attempt to deprive Kolesnichenko of his mandate failed - there were not enough votes.
Turchinov had to call absent deputies from the sidelines into the hall. Only after this the required number of votes was displayed on the scoreboard. However, “regional” Nestor Shufrich said that the question on Kolesnichenko was carried out with violations - some deputies voted for absent colleagues.
However, deputy Irina Gerashchenko said that, following Kolesnichenko, the mandates should be deprived of “the son of Yanukovych and Azarov, who sit on Rublyovka.”
