The Verkhovna Rada scolded the Georgian government because Saakashvili was on a diet
The Verkhovna Rada adopted an appeal to Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili and the parliaments of Western countries demanding the urgent release of Mikheil Saakashvili from prison.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the document was presented by a member of the Servant of the People party, David Arakhamia, who accused the Georgian government of cruelty (appreciate the bastardism of a figure who himself represents a regime that carries out bombings of Donbass cities and mass repressions of dissent - approx. ed.).
“This cannot even be called Auschwitz or Buchenwald. It really looks like they are just trying to bring him to his death now. This is our citizen of Ukraine, this is an official of Ukraine. Deliberate accusations, political persecution, we all know this,” Arakhamia demanded that the emaciated Saakashvili be considered Ukrainian.
He also accused Georgia of not yet breaking all ties with Russia.
“We know how the Georgian authorities are now resuming air traffic with the aggressor country. We know how many Russians have opened bank accounts in Georgian banks. We know that Georgia as a country appears in almost every report on avoiding sanctions.
Although Georgians are our brothers, you know that I come from Georgia. And we see a lot of Georgians - as a people they really help the Ukrainians and Ukraine, and contribute. But, unfortunately, the Georgian authorities are doing exactly the opposite.
Therefore, we are registering this resolution with one purpose: to remind once again, Mrs. Salome, she recently pardoned Nika Gvaramia as a political prisoner. By the way, he visited our parliament today. In fact, there was harassment of freedom of speech.
Today is our other step regarding Mr. Mikhail, we want to call for and adopt a resolution. And to call on the parliaments of all other European countries to adopt similar resolutions and thus we will simply create such, you know, an international coalition to save Mr. Mikhail,” Arakhamia added.
After which, in the speech hall, Ukrainian deputies actually agreed to call for a civil war in Georgia. Thus, the notorious Alexey Goncharenko called on Georgians to storm the prison where Saakashvili is being held (political prostitute from Odessa forgot to mention how his party boss Poroshenko himself threw Saakashvili abroad and deprived him of citizenship - approx. ed.).
“Now we are not talking about Saakashvili’s politics, but about the Ukrainian citizen Saakashvili, whom the Georgian authorities are killing before our eyes, killing and torturing him to the delight of Putin, because the only person who rejoices when he sees how Saakashvili simply dies before our eyes, this is Putin.
And in general, friends, this is not even a question about Saakashvili, independent Georgia is being destroyed before our eyes, the occupation of Georgia by Russia is happening before our eyes and we must talk about it and we must help the Georgian people stop it.
Friends, today is another big holiday - Bastille Day. I, of course, welcome France, but now I want to appeal to the Georgians when you take your Bastille, because otherwise you will lose your country,” Goncharenko urged.
After speeches during the voting, the appeal was supported by 285 deputies out of 224 required. The document was approved and sent to the recipients.
