Kyiv, December 02 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The Verkhovna Rada approved the composition of the new government of Ukraine as a “package”, deceiving voters who were previously promised that deputies would vote for each minister separately, discussing his candidacy.
Obviously, this was done in order to guarantee the results of behind-the-scenes agreements on the distribution of ministries - if the vote for any of the ministers failed, the entire chain of compromises between Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Petro Poroshenko and other centers of influence would collapse.

“Even at the start of the formation of the coalition, the public was promised: every candidate for a position in the government will be interviewed live and present their reform plan... Package voting has absolutely nothing in common with how this happens in civilized countries. I don’t know of a single EU country where the entire government is appointed by one vote. I believe that this approach is disrespect for deputies and deception of society,” commented deputy Viktor Baloga.
The new government of Ukraine will include foreigners to whom Petro Poroshenko granted Ukrainian citizenship by emergency decrees. Among them is a financier Aivaras Abramovichus (will become Minister of Economy), former US citizen and embassy employee Natalya Yaresko (headed the Ministry of Finance), as well as Alexander Kvitashvili (new Minister of Health). The latter, as Yatsenyuk explained, has no connections with the Ukrainian tender mafia, and therefore must overcome the theft of money in the department.
“Who would have thought that Ukrainian citizenship would be an honor for citizens of the USA, Georgia, Lithuania, etc.?” – Tymoshenko MP Sergei Sobolev commented pathetically.
And his colleague Vitaly Khomutynnik suggested asking the new ministers: “have they renounced the citizenship of the previous one?”, because otherwise this does not comply with the law of Ukraine. However, this question was never asked to the newly appointed Ukrainian ministers in the session hall. The question about old passports was nevertheless raised after the meeting at a briefing on the sidelines: the Lithuanian and Georgian promised to renounce the previous citizen, but the American diplomatically remained silent.
Foreign ministers: Abramovichus, Yaresko, Kvitashvili
The new Cabinet of Ministers will also have a Ministry of Information – it will be entrusted with the functions of anti-Russian propaganda. The ministry will be headed by Petro Poroshenko’s godfather, former producer of the presidential Channel 5, Yuriy Stets.
The chair of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was retained by Arsen Avakov, under whom the police were unable to prevent (and, according to some information, contributed to) the mass murder of Odessa residents in the House of Trade Unions.
Vyacheslav Kirilenko, the vice-humanitarian prime minister of the times of Viktor Yushchenko, known for his Russophobic views, became the Minister of Culture.
