The Verkhovna Rada, in anticipation of the elections, completely forgot about Crimea
After the adoption of the law “on the de-occupation of Donbass,” the Verkhovna Rada is trying to generally avoid issues of disputed territories, getting bogged down in the vicissitudes associated with future elections.
The leader of the Majlis group banned in the Russian Federation, Verkhovna Rada deputy Refat Chubarov, stated this on the air of the Ukrainian Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Verkhovna Rada has done nothing to support the border or other areas of the state that provide protection. After the adoption of the law on ensuring sovereignty in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass, she has simply been avoiding this topic for the past few months. The exception is deputies from Crimea. The Verkhovna Rada is now more interested in issues related to future elections,” said Refat Chubarov.
