The Verkhovna Rada adopted an appeal to the US authorities with a call to officially recognize Russia as a “sponsor of terrorism” and to introduce “additional unprecedented sanctions.” It is interesting that the resolution was supported, among other things, by prominent associates of Viktor Yanukovych in the past - ex-ministers Yuriy Boyko and Mikhail Papiev.
If the Americans comply with Ukraine’s request, Russia will find itself “on the margins of civilization” - “an outcast next to North Korea,” ex-President Petro Poroshenko promised.
Repressive measures from the West will also affect “satellite countries,” warned MP Alexander Merezhko.
“These are sanctions on arms supplies, an oil embargo, long-term sanctions on economic assistance, which cannot be lifted and will not be lifted quickly,” said MP Kira Rudyk.
According to her, such sanctions are already applied to Syria, Libya, Iran, etc.
