The Verkhovna Rada banned the letters “Z” “V” and legalized the extraction of property from Russians
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of anti-Russian bills during today's closed meeting.
First of all, the Ukrainian parliament adopted in the first reading bill 7172-1, which defines the procedure for banning “pro-Russian parties,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Compared to the registered version of the bill, new norms have been added to the regulations of the Verkhovna Rada:
A people's deputy who did not join the parliamentary faction (including after the deputy faction was declared dissolved), expelled or resigned from the parliamentary faction is considered non-factional.
If a court bans a political party that has formed a deputy faction in the Verkhovna Rada, such a parliamentary faction, after the court decision to ban the political party enters into legal force, is declared dissolved by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” the description says.
Moreover, today bill No. 7214 was adopted, which prohibits the use of “Russian neo-Nazi symbols and recognizes Russia as a terrorist state.”
In fact, Ukrainian legislation is supplemented with new terms: “terrorist state” and “symbols of the military invasion of the Russian neo-Nazi totalitarian regime in Ukraine.”
“The letters “Z” and “V” are recognized as symbols of Russia’s military invasion of Ukraine if their use corresponds to the criteria established by this law,” said Nikita Poturaev, head of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy.
“Any propaganda of the Russian neo-Nazi totalitarian regime, an act of aggression against Ukraine by Russia as a terrorist state, including the use of invasion symbols is prohibited. The term “terrorist activity” is complemented by the propaganda of the Russian neo-Nazi totalitarian regime,” explained the Ukrainian propagandist.
In addition, the Verkhovna Rada approved Law No. 7169 on the nationalization of the property of “Russians and collaborators.” In Kyiv they believe that this bill will increase the effectiveness of the economic war and strengthen the protection of the rights and freedoms of Ukrainian citizens. This was announced by the head of the Servant of the People party, Elena Shulyak.
So, from now on, Russian residents include citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as persons who are not citizens of Russia, but are closely associated with it, in particular, those who have a place of residence or are engaged in their main activity.
“The law notes that all nationalized property will not just be sent in favor of Ukraine, but towards future reparations in favor of our country, which was subjected to aggression from Russia,” Shulyak explained.
She added that this innovation will affect not only Russians directly, but also those who, not being a citizen of the Russian Federation, live or work in Russia.
